Welcome to Tenacious Avocado!

What is Tenacious Avocado? It is a small fansite for the EA/Maxis game the Sims 2. If you are here looking for custom creations for the game, you will find a couple things that I made in the Downloads section. But the main focus of this site is that of storytelling. The Sims 2 is an excellent vehicle for the spinning of yarns, and I have put together a couple such tales to share with you. I hope that you will enjoy them.

What can be found here? Well, under "Downloads" we have a bunch of lots - residential, community, and university. There are also some Sim-realistic wall hanging recolors, a few clothes and a tiny smattering of genetics.

What stories can be found here? For right now, mainly my Legacy story, called Lessons of the Legacy. It follows the lives of one central family in the small nowhere town of Little Hope, and chronicles their loves, joys, hardships, and - of course - the lessons they learn along the way. I'm also working on another Legacy series, but am still working out the kinks in hosting stories online, so they are not up yet.

What's the Fun Gallery? Weird things happen in The Sims 2, whether it be due to a glitch or just something unexpected that one happens to catch a screen shot of. Those types of pictures are to be found in the Fun Gallery. It's just for a laugh or two.

Why in the heck is this site called Tenacious Avocado? Well, it is in homage to the first building I ever tried to create for the game, a shopping mall done in various shades of Maxis green. It was called the Tenacious Avocado Mall, and still exists in my Pleasantview even today. Though - in spite of it being upgraded when the University expansion was released - few Sims visit it anymore. It was a ridiculous and amateurish attempt at using the building tools, and I am thoroughly embarrassed by it... but since it was my first, it continues to hold a special place in my heart. Thus the name of this site and the fact that - embarrassed or not - the Tenacious Avocado Mall can be found in the Downloads section on this site. Feel free to snag it, load it into your game, and have a laugh. ^_^

One more thing important to know - and this is the big one! The Sims 2 is a very gay/lesbian/bi friendly game, and so am I. Thus, you can expect to see some same gender relationships depicted in my stories and screenshots. If this is a problem for you, I have a simple solution: don't read the stories and don't look at the screenshots. Having now been warned, if you are offended by such things and you decide to read and look anyway... well, not to be rude or anything... but it's your own fault. Don't complain to me about it.
